I had prefer the SSDs and storage to be separate from everything else you have to route in terms of cables. Back in 2018 Lian Li introduced its PC-O11 Dynamic chassis, designed in collaboration with Der8auer, and it quickly went on to become a classic that still sells well. As this is the variant meant for additional cooling, the main material change is the use of fine perforation panels on the top and front. While the Air Mini and the Dynamic Mini appear to be about same size, the Air Mini is actually a little larger.
The 30mm space behind the side fan / radiator bracket allows users to mount fans, thus efficiently intake fresh air to directly cool the radiator and leaves enough space to install long GPUs in this compact case. In the process of putting my machine together I managed to ding the edge of both the front and top panels. With a modular back panel design, the user has the option to choose from 3 slots/ 5 slots/ 7 slots I/O shield to optimize the case to the configuration of user’s choice. You do have two colour choices, but I will say that the white finish on this enclosure doesn’t feel premium, it just feels like steel. Other than that, you will rely on the mesh of the top, front and side panels for filtration, though I expect these will do a good enough job as the mesh there is quite fine. I've switched the supplied 2 x 140mm fans to bottom (intake), and added 2 x 140mm Noctua's to the front (intake) , and 3 x 120mm (exhaust) to the top and rear, as well as a NH-U12A CPU Cooler. The modular back panel means this case can support ATX, Micro-ATX and ITX motherboards with more space for cooling if a smaller motherboard is used in the 5-slot position. And when I say tidy, I mean tidying them up in the classic O11 fashion: shoving them all into the case without a second thought and hiding my mess with the cover. Make sure that all the notches on these removable plates are actually inserted into the frame when they are fully installed, otherwise they might bulge.If you’re really ambitious like me you can just populate it with a full-size ATX motherboard and have a really pretty compact ATX enclosure. For cable management, I first plugged all the cables in, including the iCue hub that came with the Corsair liquid cooler, and then tidied up all the cables. With that motherboard extension installed it does actually cover up the rubber grommets, and it actually looks a bit cleaner and it does not interfere with all your cable exits. This is because the rear compartment now has room for ATX PSUs, which is a huge upgrade over the SFF-L only layout in the glass-based O11 Mini, and well worth the extra width.Being all about the air, O11 AIR MINI has a spacious interior to accommodate multiple confirgurations of fan and radiator setups to maximize the airflow.
