About this deal

En otras circunstancias un personaje tan mercenario como Kitty no me habría gustado, pero en el fondo es tan sincera y natural, y tan fiel lo que siente por su familia, que no puede caerte mal. A good debut that has me anticipating if we shall see this become a series since there are still 4 sisters to be married.

En seguida, Kitty comenzará una amistad con Archie De Lacy que espera que vaya a más, pero será la presencia de su hermano mayor, James, Lord Radcliffe, la que haga que Kitty ponga sus miras en otro lado. It is, nevertheless, a wonderfully plotted and engaging book and I'm excited to read this author's next one soon. i do love how easily they can talk with each other, which is important, and how easy is to be together and A TEAM! The house which is home to herself and her four sisters is about to be taken from them if they don't come up with the money owing. A Lady's Guide to Fortune-Hunting is Sophie's debut novel and it has already sold in nearly thirty countries worldwide.Ebooks fulfilled through Glose cannot be printed, downloaded as PDF, or read in other digital readers (like Kindle or Nook). I enjoyed the ending of the book and I think it rounded the story very well, I can’t wait to read the second book in the series. Miss Irvin, you must, I do beg you, tell us what happened to Cecy and Montagu, how life has treated sweet Beatrice and romantic Jane. The only remedy it seems is to find herself a rich husband, and it is with such intent that she sets off to London for the Season to ensnare herself a fine catch.

The dutiful eldest sister shouldering her family’s burdens is an archetype that crops up frequently in Regency romances and I loved it here in combination with Kitty’s unrepentant, quick-thinking scheming. Follows the adventures of an entirely unconventional heroine who throws herself into the London Season to find a wealthy husband. With just twelve weeks until Kitty and her sisters are made homeless, launching herself into London society is the only avenue open to her.She was blinkered at times but loved her family dearly and was determined to shield her sisters from penury. after his father's death and his time at waterloo, he doesn't feel like he can coexist with them any longer. También sabe que los afectos de su hermano menor no son correspondidos y no dejará que Archie se case con una cazafortunas. La sinopsis del libro puede revelar parte de la trama y, dado que yo la leí, el principio se me hizo muy obvio (casi como el final).

I simply couldn’t put it down and immediately hoped after turning the last page that this author has more tricks up her sleeve because I am her newest fan! Admito que estoy muy susceptible con las nuevas publicaciones de Regencia tras el boom Bridgerton, pero éste libro me ha parecido un acierto dentro del manido mundo del romance histórico. Her love and passion for historical fiction bring a breath of fresh air and contemporary energy to the genre. Ms Irvin doesn't need them to consummate anything because she is quite skillfully fanning the flames through other means, and the repertoire is ample. If you like sweet romance with characters who are charming, full of humor and wit this is also for you. Sure, Kitty is beautiful, but according to Radcliffe, she's also a "scheming viper, "a demon," "an infection," the worst sort of villain," etc.

This is all about Kitty (Katherine) Talbot who needs a rich husband to take care of her father's massive debts after he passed away - and help save her sisters from ruin. How this book made me feel: After rewatching “The Brigerton” Netflix series I wanted more Regency-themed reading, which is why I grabbed this book. Overall, I don’t know what it is with those times but it feels magical: the lifestyle, intrigues, clothes… I really enjoy it. Being a girl from the countryside she had to learn how to manipulate the situations and people to survive in London during the season. Overall, this book was just a great light-hearted and fun read with a vibrancy to it that I really enjoyed. So, if you are missing The Birgerton family, do give this book a go and I hope you will like it as much as I did. I would have enjoyed the book more if it had been a bit more focused and had a greater depth of feeling.
