Supplemented by thermic acceleration, these bolts are released at hyper-velocities that result in near-instant hits, increasing their accuracy and armour-penetration capabilities.

Hey guys, I'm a newfound fan of the 40K universe! I love the great detail and the sheer volume of information that has been put into the lore, like the races and the story of the Imperium and most importantly, the weaponry. As such, I got curious and I thought I would attempt to do a semi-scientific analysis of one of the most iconic weapons of 40K, the boltgun of the Adeptus Astartes. This is my humble contribution. Basically, you should keep this gun holstered until you see an opportunity for a juicy Volley Fire, then you whip it out and obliterate as many specials and elites as possible until you are about to overheat.
