The Beach Boys' iconic 1966 album, 'Pet Sounds', is universally hailed as one of popular music's most important recordings of all time.

Their vocal harmonies, early surf songs, and innovative recordings remain a massive influence on popular music today. The album was recorded during summer 1984 at Red Bus studio in London, and Westlake Audio in Los Angeles during late 1984/early 1985. Tiene 30 canciones, lo mejor de esta banda formada en el año 1961 y que llegó a liderar las listas de éxitos durante las décadas de los años 60s y 70s. Sounds of Summer: The Very Best of The Beach Boys is a 2003 compilation of music by The Beach Boys released through Capitol Records.Currently certified triple platinum, Sounds of Summer: The Very Best of The Beach Boys is the most popular collection by the California-based hitmakers.

Features the album remastered in stereo and mono with highlights from the collectors edition's additional tracks. I wanted a genuine essence of the beach boys album without any dilution or badly re-mastered digital messing about. Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson, Mike Love, Bruce Johnston and Al Jardine all took an active role in the project, writing several new songs for it, with Stevie Wonder and Culture Club each donating a song. Originally released in 2003 with 30 tracks, UMe is updating and reissuing the classic Sounds Of Summer compilation.

Wouldn't It Be Nice,' 'God Only Knows,' 'Caroline No,' and 'Sloop John B' (the last of which wasn't originally intended to go on the album) are the well-known hits, but equally worthy are such cuts as 'You Still Believe in Me,' 'Don't Talk,' 'I Know There's an Answer,' and 'I Just Wasn't Made for These Times. The group here reached a whole new level in terms of both composition and production, layering tracks upon tracks of vocals and instruments to create a richly symphonic sound. Two tracks - Ride the Wild Surf (Jan and Dean) and 409 (I think the Surfin' Six) aren't even performed by the Beach Boys, exposing the unauthorised nature of this release. Some tracks predate the band's contract with the Capitol label; others are poor quality live recordings. Across both sides, we're treated to delightful takes on the standards such as 'We Three Kings Of Orient Are,' 'The Man With All The Toys' and '"Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town'.

Also when I looked after the Smile Sessions I could only find that 2011 edition and was kinda expensive.
