Fuller's London Pride; Guest Beer

Large, much renovated, pub located at the root of Horsenden Hill. The building dates from the 1930s when it was a Benskins house (later Ind Cooope) but the original Ballot Box stood at the other side of the hill near to the canal since at least 1726. It was so named because bargees used to cast their votes there in 19th century elections. Now very much a food oriented pub (served half an hour after opening till an hour before closing) and can get busy on Sunday afternoons. A Wacky Warehouse is attached and a children's play area is behind the pub. Sport from non-subscription channels is available.

Young's
Young's Bitter, Special, occasional guest beer

Opened originally in 1937 as one of two pubs built by the same developer, the other being the Greenford in Southall (now tragically a McDonalds). Unfortunately the names were transposed on the licence applications. The Bridge now stands next to a flyover on the A40 and was bought by Young’s in 1959. A 68 bedroom hotel was added in 1989. There are three bar areas: a comfortable lounge which is also the hotel lobby, a quieter back room and, between them, a curvy main bar featuring wood panelling and several small booths. The Grill is the hotel restaurant and is open Monday to Saturday from noon until 3pm and then from 6pm to 10pm, Sundays noon to 9pm. Summer BBQs are held on Saturdays and quiz night is on Sundays. The enclosed beer garden is at the front offering views of the A40 flyover!

Bank's Bitter, guest beer

Friendly local on the busy Ruislip Road. There are two bars with the saloon divided into two sections, the three handpumps being at the rear. Good value meals are served between noon and 8pm, the most popular dish being the all day breakfast at £2.75. There are also 2 meals for £6 offers and Sunday roasts for £4.95. The pub has a darts team playing in the public bar. Poker night is on Tuesdays and a disco takes place on Fridays. Subscription sport is shown on the many widescreen televisions around the pub. The large beer garden is completely enclosed and usually offers a bouncy castle along with the obligatory picnic tables. The recent return of real ale brings back an oasis in a very large desert.

Large, much renovated, single bar roadhouse built for Benskins in 1937/8 on the site of the former Church Farm to benefit from the trade of the recently opened Western Avenue. Situated opposite the iconic Hoover Building, it is now part of the owners Fayre & Square food led brand with much of the menu available on a 2 meals for £10 offer. Meals are served from noon until 10pm (9.30pm Sundays). The 2010 refurbishment brought a new conservatory to allow dining without artificial light. The walls have photographs of tourist attractions and modern art. The pubs boasts an external children's play area and a Wacky Warehouse, however, they are not allowed in the western end of the pub from the bar onwards. Non-Sky TV and a pool table are available. The Premier Inn next door offers added accommodation facilities resulting in the pub opening for breakfast between 6.30am and 9am (7.30am until 10.30am Sundays).

Built in 1915 as the Station Hotel, this pub was refurbished in 2007 following a fire the previous year and again in 2011 when the carvery was removed and it became part of the Flaming Grill brand. There are two serving areas in this large hostelry where a pool table is also available. Sport from non-subscription channels is shown on several screens throughout the pub. The car park is now pay and display, with the lowest charge refunded against purchases at the bar.
